Westward Ho Dining Review

Westward Ho is located at the Magic Kingdom in Frontierland. It’s diagonally across from Pecos Bill and the Country Bear Jamboree about halfway between them and on the opposite side of the walkway.

It’s a Kiosk in the quick service restaurant category, that looks like a small wooden cabin. It’s very cute and rustic and 100% fits the theming of Frontierland.

Breakfast options include Wendall’s Bear Claw, a breakfast sandwich on a Multigrain Croissant, and cinnamon sugar donut holes. I can’t wait to try the Bear Claw on our next trip, it looked amazing!

Lunch/Dinner options are Wendall’s Bear Claw (so it’s available all day and not just at breakfast), Candied Bacon Skewer served with chips, Jalapeño Poppers, Corn Dog Nuggets, and Potato Chips. The candied bacon and Jalapeño Poppers are a few menu items you may have seen shared on your Instagram feeds or in Disney travel groups. They’re definitely a crowd favorite.

Drinks served all day are Joffrey’s Coffee (hot, regular, and decaf), Tea, Bottled Water, and Assorted Coca-Cola Fountain Drinks like Coke, Diet Coke, Barq’s Root Beer, etc.

They also have a Frozen Coca-Cola Slushy, Minute Maid Frozen Lemonade Slushy, and Joffrey’s Cold Brew Coffee. There are Vanilla, Caramel, Hazelnut, and Seasonal flavored syrups available for the coffee for an additional $0.50.

Menu notes

While you can get alcohol in many beverages throughout Disney parks, there is no alcohol served at Westward Ho.

All of the food items are listed online as snacks. There were no gluten-free food options available.

This was a great spot to grab an afternoon coffee and cold drink for the kids after lunch while we took a bit of a break after riding Big Thunder Mountain. There’s plenty of shade and places to find a spot to sit by the water.

While we did not get food at Westward Ho dining on this trip since we had just eaten at Pecos Bills, we had a few of their drinks and really like them. We had cold brews from Joffrey’s Coffee (our afternoon coffee is a MUST) and the Frozen Coca-Cola Slushy.

The kids really loved the Coca-Cola Slushy. Next time, we’ll grab a snack from here before we wait in a long line for Jungle Cruise or Pirates of the Caribbean.

If you plan on taking the Steam Train from Frontierland to Fantasyland or Main Street, just know that you can’t have open drinks on the Train. Cast Members will ask you to finish it before getting on the train or throw it out.
