Details on when is Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot 2023. Plus info on special events, food, drinks, the best topiaries, and more!
Epcot Flower and Garden Festival 2023
The Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is one of my favorite Epcot festivals and the best time to visit Epcot. All the beautiful flowers are such a welcome sight in the spring after a long, cold, dreary winter in New England.
In addition to this, there are also new merchandise collections featuring Epcot’s Flower and Garden Festival (and Orange Bird!) along with exhibits, special new foods and drinks and outdoor kitchens around the world showcase, garden displays with lush gardens, topiaries, and the garden rocks concert series.
The gorgeous gardens are the highlight though. They’re just stunning and pictures can only do them so much justice.
When did Epcot open?
Epcot opened October 1, 1982. The first Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival was held in 1994 to celebrate spring.
When is Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot 2023?
The 2023 Flower and Garden Festival at Epcot is happening from March 1st through July 5th (March 1 – July 5, 2023). So hurry, there’s only a short amount of time left before the festival ends!
The Best Topiary Arrangements at the Epcot Flower
The Epcot International Flower & Garden Festival showcases many beautiful gardens and Disney characters made out of topiary displays. Here are some of my favorites:
- Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs
- English Tea Garden
- Tinker Bell
- Captain Hook and Tic Toc Croc
- Luisa because she’s my favorite 💪
- Mickey Mouse and Minnie
- Winnie the Pooh and friends
- Elsa and Anna
- The Beast and Belle
The fairy garden in the UK and the model trains in Germany are also really fun to check out. Lots of little details to check out!

As expected, there are plenty of plant-based options so it’s the perfect food event for those who are following a plant-based diet.
As you eat your way around Epcot sampling featured menu items, you can fill out a Garden Festival Passport. When you collect 5 different stamps from the different vendors, you can bring your passport to Pineapple Promenade and receive a special treat.
If you’re a foodie, this fun food challenge is for you!
There are many special drinks and treats not listed above, like this frozen Melonade (watermelon lemonade, below) found at Joffrey’s Coffee between the UK and Canada, La Vie en Rose Frozen Slush in the France pavilion, or the Peach Bellini at BrunchCOT near Test Track, just to name a few.
It’s a good idea to check out some menus on Disney’s website before heading to Epcot!
Garden Rocks Concert Series
The Garden Rocks Concert Series is a free concert series that features live music for Epcot-goers during the Flower and Garden Festival. You can catch the mini concerts at the America Gardens Theatre in the American Adventure Pavilion.
